What it says — this reads as a wig

SpecThe listing saysWhat it means
Length 22" Hair length in inches, measured straight regardless of curl pattern — so a 20-inch curly unit hangs considerably shorter than a 20-inch straight one.
Lace size 13x4 The lace panel in inches — width along the hairline curve, then depth back from it. 13x4 and 13x6 run ear to ear; 4x4, 5x5 and 6x5 are closures at the front.
Density 180% How much hair is attached to the cap, as a percentage. 150% reads as natural, 180% as full, 200%+ as deliberately abundant. Not standardised between manufacturers.
Texture Body Wave The wave or curl pattern of the hair — straight through body wave, loose wave, water wave, deep wave and kinky curly. Changes the look more than any other single spec.
Lace type HD lace What the hairline panel is made of. HD (or invisible) lace is thinnest and most translucent; transparent lace is the common mid-grade; no lace means a machine-made front.
Glueless Yes Whether it is designed to stay on without adhesive, using combs, an adjustable strap and friction. Glueless units are meant to come off at night.
Hairline Pre-plucked Whether the front has been pre-plucked to soften the density, and whether baby hair has been left. Unplucked hairlines look blunt until you thin them yourself.
Style With baby hair Finishing already applied: pre-plucked, baby hair, bleached knots, pre-cut lace.

What these specs mean together

13x4 lace
A frontal spanning ear to ear, letting you part anywhere across the front rather than only at a fixed point.
180% density
A full density. Noticeably more body than natural hair, and the most commonly sold range.
HD lace
A finer, thinner lace than standard, intended to sit less visibly against the skin at the hairline.
Pre-plucked hairline
The hairline has been thinned so it looks less uniform than a machine-finished edge.
Glueless
Designed to be worn without adhesive, usually held by combs and adjustable straps — quicker to put on and take off.

Not stated — ask before you buy

The listing doesn't say these. Check the retailer's product page or ask them, because each changes how the wig looks or fits.

  • Cap size. Whether it will fit. Most are cut for about 22.5″ — check yours.
  • Hair material. Human hair can be heat-styled and coloured; synthetic usually cannot.

How it reads a listing

It reads text the same way this site reads the retailers' own product feeds: specification lines like "Density: 180%" first, then anything the title states, such as "13x4", "HD lace", "glueless" or "22 inch". It only repeats what the listing says, and never guesses a spec that isn't there.
