From Abracadabra NYC's listing. Where it doesn't say, we don't guess: length and style are left out rather than filled in.

Will it fit?

This is a child-size wig, made smaller so it doesn't slip down over the eyes. For most children under about ten it is the right choice over an adult wig. Measure around your hairline to check.

What Abracadabra NYC says

A Gentleman From Another Age On the 18th and 19th centuries, a lot of noble men and men of means wore powdered wigs that were often known as Peruke. This was a type of formal wear that one was expected to don for special events and court appearances. It is also the sort of thing that still shows up to this day in school plays that feature the Founding Fathers. A Synthetic Wig That Looks Real One of the great things about this Peruke wig is that it looks like the classic gray powdered wig that the founding fathers would wear. Except it isn’t made from real hair and it isn’t dusted with messy powder. It is one-size-fits-most child actors head sizes.

Wearing and caring for it

  • Keep straighteners, curling irons and hot hair dryers away: standard synthetic fibre melts. Steam or hot water reshapes it instead.
  • Wear a wig cap underneath to flatten your own hair. Bobby pins through the cap hold it for a long night.
  • Detangle from the ends up with a wide-tooth comb; never brush it wet.
  • Store it on a stand or in a hair net so it keeps its shape for next time.
